Two new notifications relating affecting international trade coming in from India -

• Anti-dumping duty on Ceramic Tablewares and Kitchenware imports extended to Malaysia

Indian Finance Ministry has issued a notification dated Oct 04, 2021 accepting DGTR's recommendation to extend anti-dumping duty imposed on Ceramic Tablewares and Kitchenware imports from China to Malaysia.

Earlier, AD duty was imposed on imports of said product from China vide notification dated 21st February, 2018, which will remain in force for 5 years, expiring on June 11, 2022.

However, pursuant to an investigation on alleged circumvention of AD duties through Malaysia, the DGTR concluded existence of circumvention and recommendation thereof.

• India notifies TRQ for Sugar exports to EU

Indian Directorate General of Foreign Trade issued a public notice dated Oct 04, 2021 notifying allocation of 5841 MT of raw/refined sugar under Tariff Rate Quota for exports to EU for the year 2021-22 (upto September 30, 2022).
