I have been working in trade law for about fourteen years — first as a practising lawyer handling trade remedy cases and WTO-related work, and more recently on the policy side, based in Geneva. That meant spending time around WTO events, meeting delegations, and thinking about trade policy questions that don't always have easy answers. I am now back in Pune, still doing much the same.
Along the way, I did an LLM at the World Trade Institute in Bern. I have also spent time on the other side of the classroom — drafting moot problems, judging competitions, and staying connected to students and young researchers who are finding their way into this field.
This blog is my attempt to write about trade law in plain language. I write here in my personal capacity — the views are my own, and mine alone.
